The Hilton Hawaiian Village Waikiki Beach Resort said it has canceled its Friday night fireworks show for tonight.

The hotel said the cancellation was due to “technical issues.”

It is the second week in a row the Friday night fireworks have been canceled. Last week they were canceled due to high water caused by the king tide.

There will be a fireworks show Sunday in Waikiki at 8:30 p.m., but not related to the Hilton.

A Japanese cosmetics company, Royal Cosmetics, is celebrating its 30th anniversary with a convention at the Royal Hawaiian hotel, and the finale will be a 15-minute fireworks show with 3,000 aerials shot from five barges, said Jim Souza, president of Pyro Spectaculars by Souza based in Rialto, Calif.
