The Coast Guard is asking the public’s help in identifying the owner of a body board and inflatable pool toy found adrift today about 3.5 miles off Ko Olina.

The items were described as a blue Body Glove body board and an inflatable “giraffe-like” pool toy. Both were found by the crew of the Coast Guard cutter Kittiwake.

Anyone with information that may help identify the owner of the board or pool float is asked to contact Coast Guard Sector Honolulu at 808-842-2600.

The discovery was reported at 6 p.m. today and was followed by a search of the area by a MH-65 Dolphin aircrew.

There were no reported signs of distress or missing persons in the area.
