South Korea’s female K-pop group 2NE1 disbanded at the end of last year as its members decided to pursue solo careers. Sistar, another popular female K-pop group, disbanded last week after being together for seven years, producing many hits. Sistar filmed its summer music video “Loving U” in Honolulu in 2012. The four members of the group have decided to pursue solo careers and acting.

It’s common in the K-pop industry for singers to switch to acting when their short-lived music careers are over. There is already a new generation of K-pop female groups eager to fill the void left by 2NE1 and Sistar. Keep an eye out for new groups gaining a lot of track: Twice, AOA, IOI, Apink, Red Velvet, Gfriend, Lovelyz and Black Pink.

“Perfect Bride”
Episodes 59 and 60

>> Today, 6:30 p.m.: Ki-ja dons her best outfit and proposes to Grandpa Bong. Kkot-nim has Joong-nyun wrapped around her finger. She asks to borrow more money, using his pending job as bait.

>> Today, 7:45 p.m.: Jae-soon cuts her finger while cooking. While she goes through the first-aid kit that Geum-shik got her, she is reminded of his words. She realizes that she wants him and runs to stop the wedding. Sam-shik sees Kkot-nim and Joong-nyun together and realizes Kkot-nim’s con target is Joong-nyun.

“Whisper”
Episodes 14 and 15

>> Monday, 7:45 p.m.: To release Il-hwan, Soo-yun schemes to have Tae-gon take the rap. But she’s caught off guard when she finds out she’ll become an accomplice in the process. Jung-il makes a proposition to Il-hwan to save Tae Baek. Dong-joon opposes Jung-il’s appointment as interim chairman of Tae Baek.

>> Tuesday, 7:45 p.m.: Dong-joon approves the wage. Jung-il tries to set a trap for Dong-joon again. Dong-joon dedicates himself to finding Il-hwan’s slush fund, even at the cost of his future. Young-joo tries her best to protect him at all costs, as they show fondness for each other.

“Love in Trouble”
Episodes 9 and 10 Wednesday; episodes 11 and 12 Thursday

>> Wednesday, 7:45 p.m.: Ji-wook’s ex-girlfriend shows up. Bong-hee’s jealousy knows no bounds. Ji-wook and Bong-hee live together with no strings attached. They face a suspicious and questionable murder case together.

>> Thursday, 7:45 p.m.: Ji-wook and Bong-hee’s feelings for each other grow. Yoo-jung takes part in the investigation, while Eun-hyuk lingers around her.

“Band of Sisters”
Episodes 11 and 12

>> Friday, 7:45 p.m.: Ha-ri meets with a witness to the accident. Ha-ri hands Ki-chan a laminated chamomile that was supposedly left by the female passenger in the taxi that day. Se-kyung turns pale at seeing the contents of mail left in her room.

>> Saturday, 7:45 p.m.: As Dal-hee is about to enter her workplace, someone calls out to her. To her surprise, it is the witness to the auto collision that occurred more than a year ago. He pressures Dal-hee, insisting that she was the one who took his taxi that day.
