Armed robber holds up Halawa restaurant

Police are looking for a male suspect who robbed a fast food restaurant in Halawa.

Just after 2:50 a.m. today, police said the suspect walked to the drive-thru window at Jack in the Box at Stadium Mall and brandished what appeared to be a rifle at an employee.

He demanded money and fled with an undisclosed amount of cash.

No injuries were reported.

It’s unclear whether the rifle was a firearm or a toy, as part of the rifle broke off at the time of the robbery. Police recovered the broken piece.

Police described the suspect as 5 feet 8 inches to 6 feet tall, approximately 135 to 140 pounds and between 25 to 30 years old. He was wearing a dark-colored, long-sleeved hoodie at the time of the robbery.
