Man critically hurt after falling off roof at Kapolei Commons

Emergency Medical Services transported a construction worker to a hospital after he fell from a roof at a Kapolei construction site.

Paramedics responded at about 10:20 a.m. today at Kapolei Commons, 4450 Kapolei Parkway. EMS reported the man, described to be in his 20s to 30s, fell roughly 20 feet to the ground from the rooftop.

Wayne Satsuma, wellness manager at the Down to Earth Organic & Natural store at Kapolei Commons, said the fall occurred at a site next to their building. Satsuma said he saw EMS arrive at the scene. “I hope the guy survives.”

Paramedics performed advanced life-saving treatment and transported him to a trauma hospital in critical condition.

MacNaughton Group is building two 6,000-square-foot buildings next to Down to Earth.
