A queue formed on opening day outside of Aloha Green Holdings Inc. The dispensary has sold out of its initial stock of cannabis.

Aloha Green Holdings Inc. sold out of its initial stock of cannabis by the end of its third day in business today after several hundreds of consumers flocked to Oahu’s first medical marijuana dispensary.

The dispensary said it could not keep up with demand at the Interstate Building at 1314 South King St., with consistently long lines and wait times of 1.5 hours. The store will be closed until 11 a.m. on Wednesday to replenish product strains, including Chocolope, Holy Grail Kush and 24-karat Gold.

“Three times the expected number of patients came to purchase medicine at Aloha Green, the only dispensary open in Honolulu,” the company said. “The consistent line forming outside Aloha Green’s entrance throughout the day had to be cut short before the official closing time on all three days.”
