Hawaiian Electric Co. repair crews needed less than an hour to restore service to 1,295 customers who lost power this morning in the Kalihi and Liliha areas.

The first outage was reported at 8:27 a.m. in the area around North School Street and Houghtailing Street, said HECO spokeswoman Shannon Tangonan. Service was restored at 9:19 a.m., Tangonan said.

The outage was caused by “a cable issue,” she said.
