The roadway to Ho‘omaluhia Botanical Garden will be closed until noon Thursday for the installation of speed bumps near the entrance gate on Luluku Road.

The city Department of Parks and Recreation announced the morning closure for the installation of seven yellow speed bumps to help slow vehicles that travel at speeds above the posted limit of 15 miles per hour. Peterson Bros. Construction was awarded the $4,800 contract.

Once completed, Ho‘omaluhia Botanical Garden in Kaneohe will continue with its regular hours of 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily except for specific holidays. Those interested can find department announcements @honolulu_parks on Twitter and Instagram and at fb.com/honolulu.parks.
