Man arrested in Waianae market robbery

Police arrested a 27-year-old man after he allegedly robbed a market in Waianae.

At about 12:50 p.m. Wednesday, police said the suspect stole merchandise from the store and exited the establishment. When the 67-year-old store owner attempted to retrieve the items from the culprit, the suspect pulled away, causing the victim to fall to the ground.

The 67-year-old man sutained injury to his fingers.

Police arrived shortly after and arrested the suspect on suspicion of second-degree robbery.
