Police are searching for a suspect in a shooting this morning that left a 22-year-old man dead and two people injured in Waikiki.
Police said the first call came in about 5:45 a.m.
The male suspect shot a rifle at a group of people, police said.
A Honolulu Emergency Medical Services report said a 22-year-old man was taken to a hospital in critical condition and two men, ages 27 and 31, were taken in serious condition.
The man who was critically injured later died and homicide detectives were sent to the scene on Kuhio Avenue.
The incident happened near the intersection of Kuhio and Seaside avenues, the report said.
Police were still at the scene this morning.
Police opened a murder investigation and two attempted murder investigations.
