Emily Maglio hit over Northern Arizona during tonight’s match.

Senior middle Emily Maglio put down 11 kills and Hawaii moved to above .500 for the first time this volleyball season with a 25-14, 25-12, 25-12 sweep of Northern Arizona tonight at the Stan Sheriff Center.

The Rainbow Wahine (6-5) had eight players with two or more kills, including sophomore hitter McKenna Ross’s career-high 10. Maglio was in on five of the team’s seven blocks.

Sophomore setter Norene Iosia finished with her third consecutive double-double (24 assists-11 digs), her seventh of the session. Senior libero Savanah Kahakai added 17 digs, her seventh match in double digits.

Junior hitter Kaylie Jorgenson had 10 kills for the Lumberjacks (4-7).

The match lasted 88 minutes. Hawaii opens Big West play on Friday against UC Irvine (12-1).
