A leaking water main is causing low water pressure today in parts of Hawaii Kai, the Board of Water Supply said.

Before 10:45 a.m., crews responded to a leak on a 36-inch transmission line in East Honolulu that is causing “very low pressure” in Queen’s Gate and Kalama Valley, the Water Supply said.

While residents still have water, one water wagon has been placed at 321 Kealahou St. and two roving water wagons are available in the Queen’s Gate and Mokuhano Street areas, the Water Supply said.

The leaking pipe is located in a utility tunnel and is not affecting traffic.

Crews were still working on the leak this afternoon.
