A second show has been added by hip hop/R&B artists Ja Rule and Ashanti for their November appearance at the Blaisdell Concert Hall.

Tickets for a Nov. 18 concert sold out in 30 minutes on Sept. 1, prompting a second show that same evening at 10:30 p.m., according to publicist Jay Park.

Between 1999 and 2005, six Ja Rule albums rose to the top 10 on Billboard’s Top 200 sales charts. His track with Ashanti, “Always on Time,” hit No. 1.

Ashanti’s self-titled debut album rose to No. 1 on the Billboard Top 200 chart in 2003, setting a record for the fastest-selling album in its first week, with almost 505,000 albums sold. Her hit song “Foolish” from that album was a No. 1 single. She’s taken five albums to the Top 10, most recently “Braveheart” in 2014.

The show is being presented by Tantriq Entertainment, Ray Jr. and DIGS Hawaii.
