Suspect arrested in Ewa Beach attempted murder case

Police arrested a 38-year-old man early today in connection with a recent attempted murder case in Ewa Beach.

At about 4:30 p.m. Saturday, police said two men were involved in an altercation when the suspect returned to his vehicle and grabbed what appeared to be a handgun.

The suspect allegedly fired a gunshot at the 41-year-old man and missed. The suspect then fled.

Just after 1:55 a.m. today, an officer observed the suspect’s vehicle at a traffic stop in Ewa Beach and identified the driver as the suspect in the shooting.

Police arrested the 38-year-old man on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder.
