    Police closed King Street near Kaili Street today to investigate a fatal crash.

A bicyclist died this afternoon after a crash with a dump truck on King Street in Kalihi.

Police said the crash occurred about 12:20 p.m. on North King Street near Kaili Street.

Paramedics treated the bicyclist who apparently had been struck by the truck and took him to a hospital in critical condition, an Emergency Medical Services report said. The cyclist was in his 60s or 70s, the report said.

Police said the man later died.

Police closed the Waianae-bound lanes of King Street near Kalihi Street to investigate. Shortly after 4 p.m., all lanes were open.
