>> Middle Eastern politics. The Jewish Community Speakers’ Series presents Gil Hoffman, chief political correspondent and analyst for The Jerusalem Post, at 7 p.m. Sunday at Temple Emanu-El, 2550 Pali Highway. Hoffman has interviewed major figures across the Israeli-Palestinian political spectrum and is a regular analyst on CNN, Al-Jazeera and other news outlets.

>> Interfaith Conversations. Chaplain Ruth Peterson will speak at 12:30 p.m. Monday on the history of the Reformation and Martin Luther, the German monk who changed the Roman Catholic faith and the world 500 years ago. >> Interfaith awards. Make reservations until Thursday for The Interfaith Alliance of Hawaii’s annual awards dinner from 5:30 to 8 p.m. Nov. 12 at the Honpa Hongwanji Hawaii Betsuin social hall, 1727 Pali Highway. To be honored: Pu‘a Foundation, The Japanese Cultural Center, Hawaii Alliance for Progressive Action and Hawaii Coalition for Civil Rights. The Flame of Hope award will go to Patricia Masters, Buddhist teacher; and special recognition given to Rose Nakamura of Project Dana.

>> Prophetic conference. Faithful Walk Healing Ministries presents a free Christian prophetic conference from 4:30 to 9 p.m. Friday on “What Is the Spirit of the Lord Saying to the Churches?” at 1730 Punahou St. Melveen Leed will give an opening performance at 4 p.m. Email agenac@hawaiiantel.net.

>> Fall Festival. Holy Nativity Church is holding its annual Fall Festival and Christmas Sale from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Nov. 11 in the gym at 5286 Kalanianaole Highway.
