The Winner is… Kim Baxter of Honolulu captured the endless winter in the Grand Tetons in Wyoming during a 19-mile hike in June at Paintbrush Divide, elevation 10,700 feet. The freelance photographer said she knew she had the shot because she’d been there before, but this time she made the trek with two friends from Honolulu, Pihana Kea, left, and Alex Nunn. She won $100 for this winning shot, taken with a Sony A5100 camera.

The Honolulu Star-Advertiser wants your best vacation photo! It can be shot on staycation or anywhere in the world. Each Sunday, a selection of photos will be featured in the Star-Advertiser’s Travel section and at staradvertiser.com. At the end of each month, judges will select their favorite photo for a $100 cash prize.
