One of two male suspects connected to a robbery that occurred at a Times supermarket in Kalihi.

Police are asking the public’s help to identify two male suspects in connection with a robbery that occurred at a supermarket in Kalihi.

At about 6:45 p.m. on Oct. 5, police said the suspect entered Times Supermarket and threatened to stab the security guard. A surveillance video shows the culprit take a bottle of alcohol from one of the shelves.

The suspect then headed toward the exit when the guard confronted him. Police said the suspect struck the guard with the bottle before he fled. A second suspect then entered the store and pushed the guard away.

At some point, police said the first suspect returned to the supermarket when he allegedly punched and kicked the guard while he was on the ground.

The suspect then fled.

The surveillance video shows the guard confronting the first suspect when the suspect assaulted him and the second suspect pushed him.

Anyone with information on the suspect is asked to call CrimeStoppers at 955-8300.
