Firefighters extinguish Nanakuli house fire

Firefighters quickly put out a house fire tonight in Nanakuli.

Fire Capt. David Jenkins said the structure is an abandoned home, which was reported to have been 10 percent involved in fire when fire units arrived.

The damage was localized to the carport, Jenkins said.

Firefighters arrived in one minute after the 8:29 p.m. to the home located at 87-185 Mikana St., and had the blaze under control at 8:39 p.m.

The cause is under investigation.
