Police were looking today for a 24-year-old man wanted on suspicion of murder after a 51-year-old man died about a week after the suspect allegedly assaulted him in Mililani.

The younger man attacked the victim at about 7:35 p.m. Dec. 8, police said.

The older man was taken to a hospital in critical condition and died Friday. Police opened a second-degree murder investigation.

No one had been arrested in connection with the case by Saturday morning.

Earlier this month, another man died days after a fight in Salt Lake. Martin M. Nunn, 36, of Honolulu, was in a fight with another man near Ala Ilima Street on the afternoon of Dec. 7.

Nunn was taken to a hospital in critical condition and died two days later. The exact cause of his death was under investigation, and drug test results were pending.

Police arrested an 18-year-old man Tuesday for investigation of murder in connection with Nunn’s death, but released him pending investigation after witnesses said Nunn may have started what police called a “mutual confrontation.”
