Police arrest man, 50, for assaulting girlfriend in Kapolei
Police arrested a 50-year-old man Tuesday for the assault of his 40-year-old girlfriend in Kapolei in November.
Police said that when officers arrived at the scene on Nov. 13, the man had fled.
Police said the woman was taken to a nearby hospital, where she was found to have sustained substantial bodily injuries.
The man also allegedly committed the assault in front of a child under the age of 14, thus allegedly committing abuse of a household member in the presence of a minor.
Police found and arrested on Tuesday the man on suspicion of the above offense and second-degree assault.
