A screenshot from a traffic camera taken at 7:16 a.m. today shows H-1 eastbound backed up at the H-1/H-2 merge.

The Zipper Lane is open to all traffic this morning following an earlier vehicle fire on the H-1 eastbound that snarled rush-hour traffic.

The state Department of Transportation announced the change in a tweet at 8:07 a.m.

Police had closed two eastbound lanes near the off-ramp at about 6:45 a.m. Affected lanes were reopened shortly after 7:20 a.m.
