Jonathan Janssen and Lorenz Gordon-Haynes each added 16 points for the Sharks (11-9, 6-6 PacWest).
Jeremiah Gray scored 17 points for the Penguins (5-15, 4-9).

Texas leads Amer Ari Invitational
Texas shot a 9-under-par 279 to take the lead after Thursday’s first round of the Amer Ari Invitational men’s golf tournament at Waikoloa Kings’ Course.
Georgia Tech’s Tyler Strafaci leads the tournament at 6-under 66. The Longhorns’ Spencer Soosman and Doug Ghim are tied for second at 4-under 68.
Oklahoma State is two strokes off the lead at 280 and Texas Tech, Georgia Tech and TCU are tied for third at 281. Hawaii Hilo is tied for 15th at 302 and Hawaii is 18th and last at 308.
Hilo’s Warren Miller is tied for 27th at 71 and Hawaii’s Cameron Kaneko is tied for 85th at 76.
UH water polo routs Santa Clara
Irene Gonzalez scored four goals and Femke Aan and Chloe Barr each added three as the No. 6 University of Hawaii water polo team routed Santa Clara 23-5 on Thursday in Santa Clara, Calif.
Ymane Hage and Molly DiLalla each played one half in goal for the Rainbow Wahine (3-1), who have won three in a row.
The Broncos dropped to 1-1.
McGill scores perfect 10 on North Shore
Hawaii’s Finn McGill scored a perfect 10 during the second round of the Volcom Pipe Pro qualifying event Thursday on the North Shore.
McGill achieved the 10 while surfing against Anthony Walsh, Charly Quivront and Gabriel Morvil during the WSL Men’s Qualifying Series 3,000 event.
McGill, 17, was one of eight Hawaii surfers to win their second-round heats.
