Kapolei’s Aaron Faumui waited until the last minute before deciding to sign with Virginia instead of Hawaii this morning on National Letter of Intent Signing Day.

Faumui, a 6-foot-3-inch, 285-pound defensive tackle recruit with offers from UH, Florida, Oregon and Wisconsin among other schools, had orally committed to UH last week.

A late push by Virginia, however, swayed his decision.

Punahou’s Alama Uluave, who was offered scholarships by more than 10 Division I schools, decided to sign with San Diego State.
