Ige is ‘overspending,’ key lawmaker says

    Gov. David Ige’s administration reported a general treasury surplus of $956 million when the last fiscal year ended June 30, which is close to an all-time record surplus.

Senate Ways and Means Committee Chairman Donovan Dela Cruz criticized Gov. David Ige’s proposed budget for next year as an example of “overspending” as Dela Cruz released his own budget proposal Thursday totaling $14.3 billion. Read more
