Long Beach State’s Clayton Andrews one-hits University of Hawaii

Clayton Andrews pitched a one-hitter over seven innings to lead the Long Beach State baseball team to an 8-0 victory over Hawaii tonight at Les Murakami Stadium.

The only hit Andrews allowed came on his 97th pitch, which Adam Fogel smacked into center field to open the UH seventh. Andrews struck out seven.

Andrews, who also batted leadoff, went 2-for-5 with a run scored.

The Dirtbags won for the eighth time in nine games to improve to 26-27 overall and 11-9 in the Big West.

The Rainbow Warriors dropped to 25-22 and 9-11.
