A car jumped a curb in the Ala Moana area Tuesday morning and struck a 69-year-old man, seriously injuring him.
The pedestrian was struck in front of Walgreens on Keeaumoku Street at around 9 a.m., according to Emergency Medical Services.
Paramedics treated the man for injuries to his left extremities, and he was taken in serious condition to a hospital.
Woman, 64, riding tricycle hit by car
A pickup truck struck a 64-year-old woman riding a tricycle Tuesday morning in Kapolei, seriously injuring her, police said.
The truck driver fled the scene, but police later found and arrested the man, who is in his late 20s, a police traffic investigator said.
The woman was riding the three-wheeler in the area of Kapolei Parkway and Keaunui Drive when she was struck at 7:20 a.m., Emergency Medical Services said.
EMS personnel treated the woman for serious upper body injuries and transported her in serious condition to a hospital.
Man held on suspicion of attempted murder
A 28-year-old man remained in police custody Tuesday for allegedly stabbing a 49-year-old man Monday in Kalihi.
The two men had gotten into a fight, and the younger man allegedly stabbed the other with a knife at about 1 p.m. Monday.
Emergency Medical Services transported the 49-year-old in serious condition to a hospital.
Police were called and arrested the 28-year-old at 1:12 p.m. on suspicion of second-degree attempted murder.
Female pedestrian, 88, hurt in accident
An 88-year-old woman was seriously injured Tuesday in a pedestrian accident, Emergency Medical Services reported.
Paramedics treated and transported the woman in serious condition to a hospital.
The accident occurred at 6:40 p.m. near 1718 Kapiolani Blvd.
Police dispatch did not have details of the incident.
