Man charged in attack on bicyclist
A male suspect was charged with robbery in a May 23 case in which a 54-year-old woman riding her bike in the Iwilei area at 2 a.m. felt someone grab her backpack.
The victim reported she fell off her bike onto the ground and a second suspect began to strike her with a dangerous instrument while the first suspect took her backpack.
Both suspects left the area and the incident was reported at a later time, according to a police report.
The victim saw one suspect at a shelter and he was arrested Sunday without incident, police said. The second suspect has not been located.
