Some H-1 lanes closed for roadwork through next week

Roadwork will continue until Friday on the H-1 freeway from Waimalu to Halawa for shoulder work and pavement rehabilitation. There have been 654 of 1,279 precast panel pieces installed on the H-1 between Waimalu and Halawa as of this month. Other improvements include widening of the eastbound H-1 shoulder between the Waimalu Viaduct and the Aiea offramp, highway lighting replacements, drainage systems upgrade and safety upgrades to the shoulder lane.

The roadwork will result in one to three right lanes closed on H-1 in both directions between the H-1/H-2 merge and the Aiea Heights Drive overpass tonight through Friday morning. The shoulder lane will not be open for use during this time.
