Brewers trade Punahou alum Harrison to Nationals
Milwaukee Brewers minor leaguer and Punahou alumnus KJ Harrison has been traded to the Washington Nationals as part of a deal that netted the Brewers pitcher Gio Gonzalez.
Harrison, a third-round pick last year out of Oregon State, was hitting .228 with 29 doubles, 12 homers and 51 RBIs in 115 games with Wisconsin in the Class A Midwest League. The Class A regular season ends Monday.
Gonzalez, a two-time All-Star, is 7-11 this season with a 4.57 ERA in 145 2/3 innings.
Gonzalez was in his seventh season in Washington after spending the first four years of his major league career in Oakland.
