Rainbow Wahine sweep Coastal Carolina again

Senior hitter McKenna Granato put down 14 kills and junior setter-hitter Norene Iosia added her third double-double of the season with 15 assists and 11 digs as Hawaii swept Coastal Carolina 25-14, 25-16, 25-22 in a nonconference volleyball match at the Stan Sheriff Center.

Senior hitter Casey Castillo added 11 kills and senior libero Tita Akiu had 11 digs for the Rainbow Wahine (2-2). Granato also had her third double-double of the year with 10 digs.

Freshman opposite Anett Nemeth had a team-high nine kills for the Chanticleers (1-4). Junior libero Carla Cahill added 12 digs.

Hawaii next hosts the Outrigger Classic next Thursday through Sunday. The field includes Idaho, Portland and San Diego State.
