Man, 68, dies after being found unresponsive off Makua Beach
A 68-year-old man has died after he was found unresponsive in waters off Makua Beach in Leeward Oahu Saturday, authorities said today.
Police said that the man was found unresponsive at about 11:15 a..m.
Emergency Medical Services said he was with a tour group on a boat. He was brought to shore where paramedics administered advanced life-saving treatment.
EMS transported him in critical condition to a nearby hospital where he later died.
Positive identification of the man is pending, police said.
