The Hawaiian Electric Company is continuing work on the installation of new 46-kilovolt cables crossing under the Ala Wai Canal, requiring a lane closure on Ala Wai Boulevard today, Monday and Tuesday.

The makai lane of Ala Wai Boulevard near Kaiolu Street will be closed from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. today, Monday and Tuesday as a contractor for HECO probes for existing utilities.

The new cables will serve Waikiki. Traffic signs and cones will mark the lane closure.
