Police arrested a 59-year-old landlord after he allegedly threatened a tenant with a cordless drill during an argument over rent in Kaimuki.

Police said the suspect threatened the tenant, a 58-year-old man, with bodily harm at approximately 5:20 p.m. Tuesday.

The landlord allegedly was standing outside of the tenant’s door during the argument.

Police said the landlord partially entered the residence during the argument while he activated the drill.

Police were called and the suspect was arrested on suspicion of first-degree burglary.
