Big Island police seek info on person opening mailboxes in South Hilo

Hawaii island police are asking for the public’s help in identifying who may be stealing mail from mailboxes in South Hilo.

Police said the mailbox doors on Kalanikoa Street in Sunrise Ridge subdivision are being left open by someone during the early evening to early morning hours.

It is unknown whether any mail has been taken, police said.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 935-3311.
