Police are investigating a reported kidnapping and abuse case after a 42-year-old man allegedly restrained and choked his ex-girlfriend in Makaha.
The alleged kidnapping occurred between 9:30 a.m. Sunday through 6:30 a.m. Monday. Police said the assailant restrained the victim, 40, in her vehicle along with the victim’s two grandchildren, ages 1 and 3, who were in the backseat at about 9:30 a.m.
The suspect allegedly choked and threatened his ex-girlfriend. Police said the baby and toddler were not injured.
The next morning, the victim and her two grandchildren managed to flee from the suspect and reported the kidnapping to police.
No arrests have been made at this time.
