Stripsteak introduces new holiday menu

Entering the holiday season, Stripsteak in the International Market Place has launched a sunset supper menu for diners who need a break from the season’s stresses.

The bar-exclusive menu, offered from 4 to 6 p.m. daily, starts with a tuna hand roll, followed by a 12-ounce New York strip steak served with duck-fat fries and garlic spinach, at $40. (The regular price for the steak alone is $60.)

For get-togethers with friends, the restaurant has a new happy-hour menu, including a crowd-pleasing pot of baked king crab dip ($14) with spinach, mozzarella and garlic streusel.

Other new dishes: loco moco sliders ($9) with a fried quail egg and black truffle gravy, charred edamame ($7) with almonds and caramelized soy sauce, and chef Michael Mina’s signature ahi tartare in crisp wonton tacos ($11).

On Christmas Eve, an $85 prix fixe dinner starts with a crispy oyster atop bacon, Kona lobster bisque, “The Wedge” salad, smoked prime rib (or Kansas City strip steak for $20 more) with herb-roasted fingerling potatoes, and dessert of red velvet cake.
