Woman accused of stabbing another woman in Pearl City appears in court
A 38-year-old woman made her initial court appearance at Honolulu District Court today after prosecutors charged her with attempted murder in a stabbing that occurred in Pearl City.
Waydene Davis, also known as Waydene Kaohi, appeared before Judge Lono Lee after prosecutors charged her Sunday with second-degree attempted murder in the stabbing of a 25-year-old woman.
Her bail is set at $250,000.
The stabbing occurred on Kuokoa Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. Friday.
Emergency Medical Services said the victim sustained multiple stab wounds to her body and was taken to a hospital in critical condition.
Police arrested Davis at the scene. The women are known to one another.
Davis has a criminal record of promoting a detrimental drug in the third-degree, harassment and third-degree assault.
