A 38-year-old woman made her initial court appearance at Honolulu District Court today after prosecutors charged her with attempted murder in a stabbing that occurred in Pearl City.

Waydene Davis, also known as Waydene Kaohi, appeared before Judge Lono Lee after prosecutors charged her Sunday with second-degree attempted murder in the stabbing of a 25-year-old woman.

Her bail is set at $250,000.

The stabbing occurred on Kuokoa Street at approximately 9:30 p.m. Friday.

Emergency Medical Services said the victim sustained multiple stab wounds to her body and was taken to a hospital in critical condition.

Police arrested Davis at the scene. The women are known to one another.

Davis has a criminal record of promoting a detrimental drug in the third-degree, harassment and third-degree assault.
