Firefighters extinguish fire at single-story home in Ewa Beach

Honolulu firefighters are investigating the cause of a Friday night fire at a single-story home in Ewa Beach.

Twenty-three firefighters responded to the alarm at 10:08 p.m. Friday and discovered light smoke coming out of a detached garage at 91-2049 Kaioli St., said Honolulu Fire Department Capt. Scot Seguirant.

Firefighters extinguished the fire at 10:21 a.m.

An adult male was at home when the fire broke out. A friend called the man let him know smoke was coming out of his garage.

No one was injured in the incident.

The estimated cost of damage was not immediately available.
