Lifeguards reopened Kekaha Beach on Kauai today after it was closed Saturday because of a shark sighting.

Lifeguards reassessed the Leeward Kauai beach this morning and reopened it to swimming, a Kauai county spokeswoman said.

On Saturday morning, lifeguards reported an eight-foot shark was seen offshore and posted shark warning signs.
