Journalist internship applications being accepted

Applications are being accepted for internships at print, online and broadcast journalism and public relations organizations this summer through the Hawaii chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

Preference will be given to applicants who are Hawaii residents enrolled in a college or university, alumni of a Hawaii high school, or a student at a college in Hawaii. Recent graduates since May are also eligible to apply.

Participating media organizations are the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, Pacific Business News, Hawaii magazine, Hawaii Business, Honolulu magazine, Pacific Edge, Honolulu Civil Beat, Hawaii News Now, KHON Channel 2, KITV 4, Alexander & Baldwin (public relations) and Hawaii Public Radio.

An online application can be downloaded at hawaiispj.org.

The application deadline is March 4, and materials can be sent to spjinterns@gmail.com.
