Korean War remains make way to Oahu

    Korean War veterans gathered in Ohio to commemorate the anniversary of the armistice ending combat 65 years ago amid news that a US military plane made a trip into North Korea to retrieve what's believed to be remains of American comrades.

    A soldier today carried a casket possibly containing remains of a U.S. soldier who was killed in the Korean War during a ceremony at Osan Air Base in Pyeongtaek, South Korea. The U.N. Command said 55 cases of war remains retrieved from North Korea will be honored at a ceremony Wednesday at a base in South Korea.

Fifty-five cases of possible American remains were flown out of North Korea by a U.S. Air Force C-17 cargo aircraft today. Read more
