$100,000 bail set for Ewa Beach man in alleged theft spree

Authorities charged a 37-year-old Ewa Beach man for allegedly using a stolen vehicle in attempting to commit a theft and then 10 days later allegedly broke into a second vehicle.

Police said the man was driving a stolen car in Aiea and used it in an attempted theft 5:45 a.m. Feb. 2.

He allegedly broke into another vehicle 11:50 p.m. Tuesday in Waipio-Gentry.

Police arrested the man Wednesday on suspicion of first-degree attempted theft and unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle for the Feb. 2 offenses and first-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle and fraudulent use of license plates.

Prosecutors charged Kevin Wilson with second-degree attempted theft and unauthorized control of a propelled vehicle, and first-degree unauthorized entry into a motor vehicle. His bail was set at $100,000.
