Three additional lawsuits were filed Wednesday accusing Catholic priests in the Diocese of Honolulu of sexual abuse.

The three suits allege that priests abused children and teens throughout 1950s and 1960s. The Diocese of Honolulu is a defendant in all three cases, which say the diocese knew or should’ve known about the abuse.

Over 40 lawsuits have been brought against the Dioceses of Honolulu in recent years. The diocese didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.

The three lawsuits are being filed before an April 24 deadline. Hawaii created a two-year window in 2012 for victims to bring charges against abusers even if the statute of limitations expired. It was extended for two more years in 2014 after dozens of child sex abuse lawsuits were filed in the state.

  • ALL a bunch of bottom feeding goldiggers represented by scumbag attorneys that publicly SOLICIT down & out druggies who lie about being molested !!! What a shame …………..

  • Most parents today know they can never leave their innocent children alone with a Catholic priest or bishop. We would never leave our children alone with any of them. It’s sad that this has happened to our Catholic church but let’s hope these lawsuits will bring an end to it. Money usually does and that’s why these innocent victims have finally come forward to stop it once and for all.

    • The attacks on the Catholic church will soon be over and you can let your kiddies out of the bedroom. The low life lawyers won’t be able to make a buck.

  • 2 Corinthians 11:12-15 “Even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light. So it is no surprise if his servants, also, disguise themselves as servants of righteousness. Their end will correspond to their deeds.” The devil is king of all evil, the father of lies and deception, and a murderer from the beginning. This applies not only to the clergy but to anyone who sounds good, looks good, and do good. The evil ones looks honorable and good in public but not in private.
