Firefighters rescued three hikers Monday morning after they were stranded overnight near the Crouching Lion trail in Kaaawa.

Firefighters got a call about the lost hikers at 6:21 p.m. Sunday but suspended the search at 7:30 p.m. because of weather conditions and low light, Fire Department spokesman David Jenkins said.

Firefighters resumed the search early Monday morning with a helicopter and located the hikers. Three men — ages 27, 28, and 30 — were stuck on a ridge near Kualoa, according to HFD. They were brought to a landing zone near Kualoa Ranch at 6:30 a.m.

No injuries were reported.
