4 arrested after argument that resulted in assault on police officer

Four people were arrested Sunday after an incident in Wahiawa that led to an injury of an Honolulu Police Department officer.

About 4 p.m. Sunday, the suspects and two victims got into an argument, which escalated and one of the suspects brandished a dangerous instrument at the victims, police said. HPD officers were called to the scene and tried to defuse the situation.

During the investigation, one of the suspects assaulted an HPD officer, police said.

Four people were arrested, one for investigation of terroristic threatening and another for assault of a police officer. A third person was arrested for obstructing government operations, and the other for hindering prosecution.
