Nine companies with 34 firefighters responded to the 3:35 p.m. fire at 94-111 Poohuku Way in Kunia.

The first company arrived at 3:39 p.m. and found the two-story house with smoke and flames coming from the garage.

Firefighters used tools to forcibly enter the structure. The fire was confined to the garage, fire Capt. David Jenkins said in a news release.

The blaze was fully extinguished by 3:55 p.m.
