A tree-trimming accident Saturday resulted in a loss of electricity for 827 Hawaiian Electric Co. customers in Sunset Beach.

According to HECO, falling tree limbs knocked down a power line on Ke Waena Road, resulting in a power outage that began at 11:11 a.m.

A HECO repair crew restored power at 1:46 p.m.

No injuries were reported.

HECO took the opportunity to remind the public that people should keep themselves as well as their tools, ladders and other equipment at least 10 feet from power lines.
