The city Medical Examiner’s Office has identifed the body of a woman found in a dumpster Monday morning in Waikiki as Janine Meyer, 51, of Honolulu.

Meyer’s body was found near Fort DeRussy off Ala Moana Boulevard.

The Medical Examiner’s Office has deferred the cause and manner of death pending further investigation. The case has been classified by police as an unattended death.

The body was found at 9:30 a.m. near the Hawaiian Colony apartments.
