Boy arrested for allegedly threatening detention facility official

A 17-year-old boy who was being held at the juvenile detention facility in Kapolei allegedly threatened an official at the facility Thursday.

Police said officers arrested the boy on suspicion of first-degree terroristic threatening after he allegedly threatened a 31-year-old man at 4:30 p.m. The case was turned over to the Family Court.
